Jeff Owen began his automotive career in high school, winning the state DECA competition in Automotive Retailing. After attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and majoring in Business Management, he entered the Manager in Training program at Advance Auto Parts. He served as a manager trainee in Monroe, NC, and later became the store manager in Kannapolis, NC.
In 1988, Jeff joined Dynatron/Bondo Corporation as a Marketing Coordinator and was subsequently promoted to Regional Sales Manager, overseeing the Hardware, Paint/Sundries, Food/Drug, and Marine divisions. In 1991, Meguiar’s recruited him for the role of Regional Sales Manager in the Automotive Aftermarket, later expanding his responsibilities to include the Marine division.
Following a successful tenure in both the retail and wholesale sectors of the Automotive Aftermarket, Jeff joined his father John’s company in 1993 as a Territory Sales Manager for North Carolina. He grew the territory by 400% in just three years. After his father’s passing in 1997, Jeff assumed the role of President/CEO and continues to lead the organization from the JOSCO corporate office in Charlotte, NC.
Jeff has served on the Matthews Help Center Board and the Charlotte Rescue Mission Board, where he was President for six years. He currently serves on the Speedway Children’s Charities Board at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Jeff remains deeply committed to the manufacturers JOSCO represent, the customers they serve, and the continued growth and success of the Automotive Aftermarket.
